On March 2, 1961, two beautiful,  twin boys were born to Harold Sr., and Katherine [Doss] Cherry,  the youngest, which was named Ronald.  Ronald received his formal education in the Muskogee Public School system, graduating from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1979.  After graduation, Ronald joined the National Guard.  He earned several commendations while serving and was honorably dischard in 1982.
Ronald married his best friend, Renetta Crutchfield on July 2, 1988 and this union was blessed with two children.  The marriage dissolved after 19 years, however, Ronald and Renetta remained good friends.
Ronald professed Christ and was baptized at nine years of age.  He was a faihtful member of the 18th and Denison Church of Christ until his health failed.  Ronald loved working in the church and praising the Lord.  Ronald took great pleasure in helping others less fortuanate than himself by continuously opening his home and heart.  Never being afraid to meet a challenge, he was always confident that he could master anything that he put his mind to.  Ronald was a hard worker;  he worked for Muskogee community Service, Georgia Pacific, Whirlpool and Direct Traffic. His hobbies included cooking, gardening, tinkering with cars and martial arts.  He held a black belt in Karate.
In his 56th year with us, Ronald Cherry, with his loving family near his side, "closed his eyes on Earth for eternal slumber" on Monday morning, August 7, 2017 from his home in Muskogee.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Cherry, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, George and Maggie Doss; his paternal grandparents, Presley and Clettie Cherry; and three nepehws, Randy Keith Richardson, Raymond Woodard, Jr., and Harold Cherry, III.
Ronald leaves to cherish his loving memory;  his son, Ronald [Anjel], Tulsa, Oklahoma;  his duaghter, Carmeshia Ogden [Kyrin Sr.];  four grandchildren, Kyran, Jr., Kyan, Kylan, all of Texarkana, Texas and Kamden Hearon, Tulsa, Oklahoma;  his mother, Katherine Cherry, Muskogee;  three sisters, Marilyn Richardson, Shirley Cherry and Deborah Jones [Stanley], all of Muskogee;  three brothers, Donald [Marchell], Poteau, Oklahoma, Antonio, Muskogee, and Harold Jr. [Shirley], Columbia, South Carolina;   nieces and nephews that were a constant in his life and consistently by his side;  Shannon Brown, Susan Richardson, Halle Cherry and L.T. Brown, Jr.; Ebony, Ashley, Donta', Kyasia, Kiara, Tyler , Alexandria and Ashley Kay.  He also leaves a special friend, Aundrea Dowdy, that never left his side during the difficult times in his life;  along with a caravan of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
